FAQs

WHEN DO YOU NEED DRIVERS?

Drivers are often needed for our Sunday spay/neuter runs, which take place once or twice a month.

  • Morning (9AM): drive the cats from our rescue in Fall River to our partner vet in Weymouth

  • Evening (approx. 7PM): drive the cats from our partner vet in Weymouth back to our rescue in Fall River

HOW LONG IS THE DRIVE?

It's 50 miles between the pickup and drop-off locations and a 1-1.5 hour drive each way, depending on traffic.

WHAT KIND OF COMMITMENT DO YOU REQUIRE?

While you don't need to commit to a certain number of transports, we would need you to commit to the entire roundtrip journey (i.e. both the drop-off & pick-up legs for a specific spay/neuter run.

HOW MANY CATS WOULD I BE TRANSPORTING?

You would be transporting at least 5 cats, each housed in a secure, hard-sided cat carrier.

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANY EQUIPMENT OR SUPPLIES?

No, the only equipment you'd need to provide is your car.

HOW BIG DOES MY CAR NEED TO BE?

Anything larger than a 2-seater convertible will suffice; however, bigger is better for our larger spay/neuter runs.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE MY CAR FOR SPAY/NEUTER RUNS?

To prepare for a spay/neuter run, you should remove personal belongings from your trunk and backseat to make space for the carriers. Folding down the seats will also create a safe space to secure the cat carriers for the drive.
