Adoptions
Cats are not adopted out on a first-come, first-serve process. Instead, we focus on the best fit for each individual cat and their adoptive families. This process is intended to ensure a long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet. Please read through the cat's profile carefully and do not apply unless they are a good fit for your home and family.

As a small, all-volunteer rescue, we do not have the bandwidth to process all applications that come in. Applications are kept on file, however they are not processed unless they are compatible with an available cat(s) or kitten(s). If your application is selected, we will reach out by email to confirm your interest and share information about next steps. Occasionally we will reach out to share information about other cats or kittens that may not be posted on our website yet. Please note that we receive a high volume of applications - particularly for kittens - and do not have the ability to follow-up with every single application. We appreciate your understanding.

Meet & Greets
We are a foster-based rescue, so all of our cats & kittens reside in foster homes throughout southcoast MA. If you are interested in adopting a particular cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST submit an adoption application to be considered. Meet and greets are by appointment only.
Adoptable Cats
Cats & kittens are posted on Petfinder (and below) once they are ready for adoption, medically & socially. If a cat or kitten is not posted on Petfinder, it may be on hold for another applicant, too young for adoption, undergoing medical treatment or being socialized. We do not accept applications for cats or kittens that are not posted on Petfinder or our website (below).

Consider the following factors when looking for a cat(s) to adopt:
-
Lifestyle Compatibility: Consider your lifestyle and the cat's needs. Match energy levels, space requirements, and time availability for care and attention.
-
Personality Match: Look for a cat whose temperament aligns with your preferences and household dynamics. Consider factors like sociability, activity level, and compatibility with other pets.
-
Health and Special Needs: Assess the cat's health condition, any special needs or medical requirements, and ensure you can provide necessary care and support.
-
Long-Term Commitment: Adoption is a lifelong commitment. Consider the cat's lifespan, potential changes in your life, and ensure you're ready for the responsibilities and joys of pet ownership for years to come.
Kitten Adoptions
Please note that we prioritize the adoption of kittens in pairs, or to homes that already have another cat. Kittens benefit from companionship by learning from each other and focusing their play aggression, leading to better behavior and socialization. Having a buddy keeps them entertained, active, and out of trouble, making for a happier home environment. Additionally, pairs of kittens are easier to introduce into homes because they provide comfort to each other, making the transition to a new environment smoother. Choosing to adopt two kittens ensures a bonded pair and fosters harmony in the household, while adopting just one should ideally be done in homes with existing playful cats to provide companionship.
